Electronic repeat dispensing
Repeat dispensing as a way that we can prescribe medication for our patients who wish to not order medication as often. We change the medication so that we do an electronic batch for example, 6 months of medication that we send to the chemist. Then you are able to pick the medication up each month, until you are on your last monthly batch; of which case you will just need to simply ring us and order another 6 months worth.
This is beneficial towards everyone. We save the usage of paper and the patient does not need to order their medication as often.
If you're a patient who feels they might be eligible then please contact the surgery to speak to a member of the prescribing team.
Prescription Recommendations from Hospital
Any medication required for the period immediately following hospital discharge will be prescribed by your consultant. Additionally, your consultant may make recommendations for future medication. In such circumstances please hand in the recommendation at reception and we will aim to provide your prescription within five working days.
